About SigniPOD
What is SigniPOD?
SigniPOD is a digital proof-of-delivery platform developed by Inquisor that replaces paper delivery notes with a secure, mobile-based system. Drivers capture recipient signatures, delivery location, and item details directly on a smartphone or tablet. A PDF proof-of-delivery record is automatically generated and can be shared with customers instantly.
Who is SigniPOD designed for?
SigniPOD is built for any business that delivers goods or services and requires a reliable record of delivery. This includes suppliers, farms, courier companies, distributors, wholesalers, and service providers across all sectors.
How does the delivery process work?
- The dispatcher or business user creates a delivery order within the SigniPOD platform.
- The delivery is assigned to a driver via the mobile application.
- On arrival, the driver captures the recipient’s electronic signature directly on the device.
- GPS coordinates and a timestamp are recorded automatically at the moment of completion.
- A signed PDF proof-of-delivery document is generated and can be emailed or shared with the customer immediately.
Is SigniPOD available on both Android and iOS?
Please contact us at admin@inquisor.co.za for the most current information on supported platforms and how to access the application.
Data, Privacy, and Security
What personal information does SigniPOD collect?
SigniPOD collects account information from registered business users (name, email, phone number), delivery data (recipient name, items, electronic signature), and GPS location at the moment of delivery completion. It also collects device and usage data to maintain application performance. Full details are set out in the Privacy Policy.
Does SigniPOD track drivers in real time or continuously?
No. SigniPOD does not track driver location continuously. GPS coordinates are recorded only once: at the precise moment a driver marks a delivery as completed within the app. There is no background location tracking between deliveries.
Why is GPS location captured?
GPS location provides independent verification that a delivery was completed at the correct address. This protects both the business and the recipient in the event of any dispute about whether a delivery took place.
Is my data safe?
We implement encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments to protect personal information. In the event of a data breach that poses a risk to data subjects, we will notify the Information Regulator and affected parties as required under POPIA. See Section 9 of the Privacy Policy for full details.
Do you sell personal information to third parties?
No. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information under any circumstances. Data may only be shared with service providers who assist us in operating the platform, with the business client who initiated the delivery, or when required by law. See Section 7 of the Privacy Policy for full details.
How long do you keep delivery records?
Delivery records, including signatures and GPS data, are retained for a minimum of five years from the date of delivery to support potential contractual disputes. Account information is retained for the duration of the account and for three years following closure. Full retention periods are set out in Section 10 of the Privacy Policy.
Can I request deletion of my personal information?
Yes. As a data subject under POPIA, you have the right to request deletion of your personal information where it is no longer necessary for the original purpose. We will respond within 30 days. Note that certain records may be retained where we have a legal obligation to do so, in which case we will explain the reason in writing.

Compliance and Legal
Is SigniPOD compliant with POPIA?
Yes. SigniPOD and Inquisor (Pty) Ltd operate in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). Our processing of personal information is limited to what is necessary to deliver the service, and we have implemented appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.
Can businesses use SigniPOD delivery records as legal evidence?
SigniPOD-generated proof-of-delivery records, which include the recipient’s electronic signature, GPS coordinates, timestamp, and item description, are designed to provide a robust and auditable delivery record.
